The Orchestra musicians and Lyon Opera Choir singers are gathered for a cycle of chamber music concerts.
A perfect opportunity to discover pieces in a more intimate setting, in three places which represent the full range of Lyon’s artistic offer: the Musée Gadagne, the newly-reopened Salle Molière, and the Lyon Opera Amphi.
Mozart and Beethoven are both masters of the “classical style” from which a new repertoire originated in the late 18th century; two musical virtuosos, whether of chamber music or orchestra; two classical music icons. This concert gathering them features two pieces in the same key, E-flat major, written for the same type of formation: a quintet for piano and winds.
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart
Quintet in E-flat major for Piano and Winds, K. 452, (Piano, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn and Bassoon)
Ludwig Van Beethoven
Quintet in E-flat major for Piano and Winds, K. 452, (Piano, Oboe, Clarinet, Horn and Bassoon)
