For bassoonist Carlo Colombo’s 40th birthday as an Opera Orchestra artist, the Lyon musicians are gathered for a celebratory concert of Mozart’s serenades for winds. What could be better than a musical, friendly tribute comprised of exquisite-yet-rarely-performed pieces by an ensemble combining orchestra and chamber music?
