Giacomo Todeschi practiced gymnastics, piano and judo before turning to dance, which he studied from the age of twelve at the Dance and Music Centre in Rovereto, his home town. At the age of 19, he moved to Rome and began his professional career with Spellbound Contemporary Ballet, under the direction of Mauro Astolfi and Valentina Marini. This artistic partnership lasted five years, before he joined La Veronal, Marcos Mauro's company. In 2019, he and Pablo Girolami set up an independent company that combined tradition, natural science and queer philosophy. He joined the Lyon Opera Ballet in 2022.
