Roylan Ramos

Roylan Ramos studied dance at the National School of Camagüey, his home town, before joining the National School of Cuba in Havana, from which he graduated in 2006. He then joined the Camagüey Ballet as a soloist for five seasons, before joining the Cairo Opera Ballet, Egypt in 2011 and, the following year, the Tanz Company of Tirole Landestheater in Innsbruck, Austria. He has danced in Paquita, Don Quixote and Swan Lake, among others, and broadened his repertoire to include more contemporary choreographers when he joined the Ballet de l'Opéra de Lyon in 2014. Principal dancer with Oklahoma City Ballet for the 2022-2023 season, Roylan Ramos is now back with the company.
