Marta Rueda graduated from Madrid's Conservatorio Profesional de Danza Carmen Amaya in 2012. For her first professional experience, she performed Derek Deane's Swan Lake with the English National Ballet at the Royal Albert Hall in London. From 2013 to 2014, she was hired by the Semperoper Ballett Dresden as an apprentice under the direction of Aaron S. Watkin, then worked with the Lithuanian National Opera and Ballet Theater under the direction of Krzysztof Pastor, from 2014 to 2018. For the next two years, she danced for the Ballet Nacional Sodre in Montevideo, Uruguay, before joining the Ballet de l'Opéra de Lyon in 2023.
