Marie Albert trained as a dancer on Reunion Island and then at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. She joined the Lyon Opera Ballet in 2021, where she performed works by William Forsythe, Pina Bausch and Lucinda Childs. She also collaborated with Pierre Pontvianne and Fabrice Mazliah and took part in the creations of Marcos Mauro (Sleeping Beauty) and Christos Papadopoulos (Mycelium). As part of the "Danser encore" choreographic programme, she performed the solo Mitten choreographed by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker.
