Livia Gil took her first classical steps at the age of 8 at the Escola Estadual de Dança of the Théâtre Municipal in Rio de Janeiro, her native city. After being selected for the Prix de Lausanne in 2012, she entered the English National Ballet School in London, graduating two years later. She began her professional career in Germany - Leipzig Ballet, Augsburg Ballet, Hessisches Staatsballett, then for 5 years in Ballet of Difference, in Cologne under the directorship of Richard Siegal. She joined the Lyon Opera Ballet in 2024. From George Balanchine to Wayne McGregor and Ohad Naharin, she has performed works by the greatest choreographers.
