Alvaro Dule was born in Albania and studied at the John Carnko Schule in Stuttgart. In 2007, he joined the Zurich Ballet before moving on to the National Ballet of Portugal. He then worked in Italy with Matteo Levaggi and Mauro Bigonzetti. From 2013 to 2017, he danced with Wayne McGregor's company, and then joined the Lyon Opera Ballet. With a passion for classical culture and a degree in history and philosophy, he takes dance into new territories (walks, museums) and develops his own choreographies: after Archipel, he orchestrated a second encounter between the Ballet de l'Opéra de Lyon and the hip-hop company Pokemon Crew: Contrappunto.
